DESCRIPTION GUIDE: Many of our filters come with a description like 150-PL in addition to the Part Number

Descriptions follows the MODEL-EXT formula: in the above example, 150 is the Electra-Kool Series, while PL stands for Pleated Paper Filter. A 150-PL is a pleated paper filter for a Model 150, or part number 10020 below.

FILTER SPECIFICATIONS

  • Pleated Paper Filter (FINE filtration, shown on the left in the picture above)
    • Rated for 99.9% efficiency @ 0.5 microns nominal and 99.97% @ 1 micron nominal
    • Moisture & oil resistant for consistent performance in all climates
    • Filters out dust too small to see with the naked eye
  • HEPA Filter (VERY Fine filtration)
    • Filter rated 99.97% @ 0.3 microns nominal.
  • PREFILTER WRAPS are provided along with Blowers with Pleated Paper or HEPA filters
    • ½” thick, non-woven polyester to pick up larger particles and extend the life of the main filter
  • Metal Mesh filter (coarse filtration, shown in the picture at right above)
    • Rated 60% @ AC Fine Dust
    • Four layers of corrugated aluminum mesh
    • Long-lasting, corrosion resistant protection against coarse particulates
  • POLYESTER FILTERS (Medium Filtration)
    • Rated 98% @ 10 microns nominal
    • Coarser filtration than Pleated Paper but easier to wash and longer lasting
    • Moisture & oil resistant, low pressure-drop

ELECTRA-KOOL FILTERKITS™

Any Electra-Kool Filter can be converted into a FilterKIT™ by adding mounting hardware and a prefilter wrap (if for Pleated Paper or HEPA filters).

We only have part numbers for our Pleated Paper FilterKITs™ and Metal Mesh FilterKITs™, as we recently began offering and stocking Polyester and HEPA filters. Rest assured, FilterKITs for those materials are available at all times.

ELECTRA-KOOL PREFILTER

PREFILTERS are a low-cost filter wrap that extends the life of the main filter (shown here wrapped around a Model 150 Pleated Paper Filter).

  • ½” thick, non-woven polyester blankets that wrap around the main filter, filtering out larger particles
  • Standard with all Electra-Kool Pleated Paper or HEPA Filtered Blowers
  • Can be used as a coalescer to help prevent oil mist from entering filter
  • Double-wrapping can be more effective.
