CASE STUDY: BAKING BREAD

A wholesale baker in the midwest had VFDs and other critical electrical components that were failing due to overheated electric cabinets. They found our website and asked us about Electra-Kool centrifugal fans as an alternative to an electric cabinet air conditioner. They selected a Model 60 and after a few weeks were kind enough to write the following:

“We have flour dust in the air that gets into everything. In the past, we have experienced VFD drive failures inside electrical panels because the fans on the drives would clog with dust, stop working, and ultimately over heat. With the Electra-Kool filtered fan, we have eliminated this issue simply by filtering air prior to entering the electrical panel. The Electra-Kool fans produce positive air pressure inside the cabinet that does not allow dust to enter the cabinet other than through the filter. We successfully cool the cabinets while removing particles in one step. The installation was very easy, completed in less than an hour, mounting via a gasketed three bolt flange. The Model 60 is quiet and efficient keeps our electronic components reliable.”

The Model 60 may be small, but its size does not reduce its effectiveness. The small filtered blower is bolted to the side of their electric cabinet and quietly pushes 60 CFM of air, cleaned with our prefilter and pleated paper filter (rated 99.9% efficiency at 0.5 microns), around critical electric components to cool them and prevent them from failing.
